On a warm-ish Canadian Spring, we met working at a restaurant and decided to go on a date. We went on a craft beer cruise for our first date where we shared the worst burger of our lives and from there, we became inseparable. We got married and got a dog named Bean to join our two ferrets (Will and Slinky). As amazing as it was working at different restaurants, we were often too tired to cook for ourselves and create different dishes so our love for cooking was fading into just work. We still enjoyed cooking for friends and family, especially when we went away for long weekends and were given the chance to cook in a campfire. So, we decided to change careers into more office-like jobs and re-find our passion for experimenting with food. We went back to cooking late-night dinners for ourselves and making everyone we know jealous of our plates.
Now, we are starting our own company “Wild Grounds” where we cater small events and teach people how to cook in their own homes. We also have a Youtube channel where we cook and eat food for your entertainment. If you want to get to know us better, get in contact through @Wild_Grounds_Ontario or same name on Youtube.
We hope Flavours of the Wild becomes your new go-to page for work-night recipes and meals to impress your friends and family. We will write down every recipe we make and teach you how to have fun with your food and enjoy a healthier (and cheaper) option to take-out meals. We love cooking and we want to make you love it too. Send us a message telling us what you wanna see or what you want to learn about.
